Good News!

So lots of good news from today. 

First of all I got into Hornsby so I’m really happy, as I’m going to accept. Shaz got into North Sydney though and she can’t go to Hornsby. Joellen and Linda got Hornsby but as of school hours no one else knows.

Besides that today was Zone Multi-cultural Perspective, Amy and I were competing and there were 12 other speakers from different schools. I was last so I was very nervous by the time I got to do my prepared speech, it went well though.  Then we had the impromtu. They took us into a room a few at a time and gave us the topic, again I was last so I was very nervous. When it was finally my turn (everyone else had already gone in) I saw the topic was ‘Screens in our lives’ I said screens were things that are kept from us, like when the media only tell half the story, I spoke for a good amount of time and it had good structure so I knew I’d done well. Allanna gave the results and did the highly commended (one went to a girl with a GREAT prepared speech who is sister to someone who used to go to our school in the OC and was a public speaking and debating legend and the other was a boy) so then I thought I might have a change of winning and then Alanna (sp?) said that she was sure everyone would be happy to have AURORA representing us and I nearly fell out of my chair. Anyway I talked to her about it and she said my prepared was great but for the next round t make the multiculturalism a bit more obvious and she said that all my debating a stuff gave me an edge and that I had a higher standard in general, then she said that my impromtu was very good, structured and all that, interesting had examples. So I’m very happy, the next stage is in August so I have a while.

Also I got my school report and I even got two outstanding in math! (and English, HSIE and I’m not sure what else) altogether I got 10 anyway. The comments were very good too. Mom says it is my best one yet! 

I also finished my Passion Project and we burned into onto a few DVD’s the iDVD is soooo cool, if you choose magic it gives you a really professional beginning with a menu and music too! I haven’t presented yet though. My actual booklet has 31 pages and since I worked hard on it I’m pretty sure I already know my mark. After all it’s better than the other two. I’m really happy with it.

Art

I like art, it’s fun! 

So anyway we’ve been doing a lot of art at school. Fun, fun, fun, fun! 

Dance holidays at Mcd College. Still Mrs H’s though but only for another week. In the holidays I’m going to have to stretch a lot of I’ll kill myself.

I’m sorry for what I said. I didn’t mean any offence to anyone, I just thought you were kind of ganging up on Shaz when she wasn’t feeling very well.

So I’m sorry if I unintentioally said anything that made someone mad.

Lets all forgive and forget guys.

If we’re unhappy lets sort it out at school.

And PLEASE -this goes for everyone- enough with the whole I’m tougher than you and can beat you up thing. We all know what would happen if someone actually did it.

It’s just words.

We’re only human and it’s human nature to argue. It’s also human nature to think your always right. So maybe we were all wrong, it doesn’t matter. Just let it go.

I’m sorry for what I did.

YAY! I GOT IN THE MPPSC! They haven’t decided the other person yet, I am SOOO HAPPY!

Btw guys Shaz has a cold and is in a bad mood so just GIVE HER A BREAK! Seriously I hat ereading all these emails where you gang up on her even though you simply missed a few emails or something. Yes you missed some or misinterpreted them so I guess it’s ok really be gee sometime you just need to BACK OFF.

Updated Again and Ballet!

Ok first things first my 100 things has been updated out of my previous bad mood’s one. Guys don’t worry I love you!

For everyone who I haven’t told yet I’m going to REGIONALS in gymnastics! The regional trials are for state gymnastics. You have two chances to get into the state team. I’m really nervous even though it’s ages away yet.

On Saturday my Eisteddfod group is performing and I have to wear so much make up.

There is a lot of secret spilling which I think I’m an idiot to do, not even my mom knows all this stuff, however if you are close to me I will tell you.

And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE oh I don’t know…

Just enjoy the secrets I guess. However much I hate secrets.

Science…

I like doing science. It’s fun. I like short sentences. However, I also enjoy the more complex compound sentences, which I like to write. I also endeavour to use complexity of words for a finely toned technial language that  drives Linda to a point of insanity.

Yes my friends. No one blogs much anymore including myself really. No one comments really either. How sad, the world must be in utter torture and despair!

Yeah.

Ah well.

Anyway I can’t think of anything else to post.

 

Books, Writing Books (who knows what else will come into this post)

I like books, no scratch that I LOVE books!

One of my ambitions is to get a book published before 15. It’s probably pretty wishful thinking, but I get ideas all the time. What’s hard is keeping them to original. Or finding a concept that doesn’t blow my head off. Honestly I’ve tackled a few. 

What’s hardest of all though, is finding a really INTERESTING concept, one that you can KEEP writing about, one that won’t bore you out of your mind after a few days of entertaining it. Yes I am in search of the perfect topic.

Characters are also important, so far all my characters haven’t been anything but basic. Except the names, I can write names. But how to find a really intriguing character!

The more you write the more practice you get, that’s why I’m never too upset when I drop  a book. However in term 2 of Yr 6 I guess I’d better get moving. I’m still sticking to some of m current book but I’ve had another idea, yes another.

Off the topic of books (well I can’t have that long title for nothing!) I don’t know when I’m doing my impromptu. Imagine giving us a time limit of 3 minutes! I CAN’T work with that. I’ll have to though. I was back at school today and my teacher was sick. Since I am I didn’t have to do the fit-a-thon , WHOOP-DE-DO! I guess. 

Went to Eisteddfod and used my ‘Eisteddfod face’ until or an hour. Yes really, well only when we were dancing.

Anyway, I LOVE books.
