Aurora’s Blog- Of All Things Lyrical

Woah

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 9:20 am

So suddenly you wake up and there’s only two weeks left of primary school!

I have lots of news, too much really. Instead I’ll make a list of things that have happened since whenever.

  • Presentation Day today
  • Ballet Exam
  • Concert on Sunday
  • Loads of ballet practice
  • Bargelloing
  • Making my Farewell dress
  • High school Orientation Day
  • Pedlars Parade

Just quickly on Pedlars Parade. I made awesome bag charmy things that sold out really fast except my last two. Funfun! My buddy had her haircut too, which I saw that day. She’s so cute! Izzy’s badges went really fast, only for ten cents! She could’ve sold them for 40 and people would have bought them just as fast.

My farewell dress will be beautiful, I think. the theme is Disney and I’m going as guess who! Me! Sleeping Beauty; Aurora. I hope it’s done soon! All the girls are coming to my house before hand to get ready and do makeup. Most likely we’ll end up tying a few of them down to do their makeup and hair!

My M College concert is on Sunday! Should be loads of fun! Though we get there at 12, have ten minutes almost immediately to rehearse and then the concert doesn’t start until 6! I got a good ballet report from M College too.

Anyways can’t wait to see Twilight! Yay!

And yay also for the new wordpress look! it’s pretty cool!

Lala Blogging

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 11:23 pm

Haven’t done much blogging lately. Haven’t wanted to, haven’t been able to find the words I wanted to say. But I’m sure you can find everything that’s been going on by looking at other people’s blogs anyway.

M ballet exam is next week on the same day as Pedlars Parade and I’m really excited and a tiny bit nervous. We’ve got all this complicated homework from school and i’ve been reading a lot.  Gymnastics is fun if easy at school. Footsteps is fun even though sometimes you get a boy who has no idea what he’s doing. Oh dear.

DET is now Gmail and I found how to get onto our own gmail accounts without it being blocked. So now we can chat in computer. Also gmail is now like iSight! There’s video and audio now beside text chat! Sadly not everyone has it yet but I’ve done video with Vincent and audio with Liv so far.

Public speaking happening at school. Boring after two state debating camps sadly  but I’d like to get into the finals, though I don’t think I should win. Partly because my speech is bad and partly because I seem to be winning a lot lately so someone else should win this time. I love debating and public speaking. WHOOTICLES!

Anyway that’s the news atm.

Oh and music for Shaz. My top 10:

1. The Call- Regina Spektor

2. He Said She Said- Ashley Tisdale

3. Clocks- Coldplay

4. Viva La Vida- Coldplay

5. Love Song- Sara Bareilles

6. Hot N Cold- Katy Perry

7. Radio Crazy Mix- Alice and Aurora

8. Bath Music- Me

9. Suddenly I See- KT Tunstall

10. No Air- Jordin Sparks Feat Chris Brown

Movies

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 5:27 am

Movies are so cool. i watch them on youtube because it’s way cheaper than omg! Sorry someone just swore on my movie. xD

Atm I’m watching Stormbreaker because I was just reading number 3 of those books. Lalalala.

And it’s sunny in the sunroom so that’s nice.

Ok I’m about done on the movies topic. It’s not like I have that much to say.

The bottom left side of my nose is swollen a little and it hurts. However I can’t figure out why. And it really does hurt.

Anyway ballet on Saturday, yay! And I get to wear my new canvas shoes. Mom is putting the elastics on so I can.

BTW Don’t you just love big explosions in movies, I do!

I also like the music, it adds a lot ot the movie, except that sometimes the music is WAY corny.

I need to make more cookies too, i finished them all for lunch. Maybe brownies is better though.

OMG! Music. :o Oh and did i mention I like soundeffects? They are so cool! Well sometimes.

Stuff

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 9:29 am

Ah sweet joy. I’m at moms work hooray (NOT) watching mom prepare for her first class. The last syntax class apparently because there’s some clip art of a little girl doing the Toyota jump with a speech bubble saying ‘I Did It’. Well good for you as Linda would say, though I can almost vouch she would do it with more ‘attitude’.

I’m still in dire need of changing the fight scene but I think I’ll just continue on for the moment and later fix it up because that’s what editing is for. Mayhap sooner rather than later but I think I’ll just keep going along my merry if quite dysfunctional way. After all, if I actually have a lot done than the daunting editing hopefully won’t cause me to have a heart attack and trash the book before I have a seizure as well.

You can also have seizures from boredom and because I’ll be at moms work for a long time I have decided to compile a list of what I can do so that I can refer to it and NOT have any sort of seizure at all.

1.     Blog- Hmm I wonder what I’m doing

2.     Hopefully find internet- Most likely not happening

3.     Watch my movie- I like that option

4.     Watch my other movie- Good one

5.     Rave about Maximum Ride- Now that sounds appealing… It’s soooo good!

6.     Read Book 1 again- That would be the third time

7.     Write my book- Uh-huh

8.     Draw in my notebook- Probably not, I can’t draw

9.     Go on paintbrush- Not sure how long I could stand that

10. Take silly videos- Funfunfun!

Right I’m off to watch my movie, I love this one.

I’ll update afterwards.

UPDATE:

Right so now Im awatching a different (and not as good) movie while writing this. OMG corny action music! WHOO! Or ew!  OMG now the corny sad/happy music. Excuse me for a moment while I spew. Ok done.

You know i was thinking. We don’t really get to know the most trivial details about us so I’ve put together a basic quiz and I’d appreciate it if everyone filled it out and commented the answers or emailed them or something. It just seems like a nice idea and something to do in the dreary holiday hours of boredom.

1. What’s your Favourite colour?

2. What’s your Favourite animal?

3. What’s your Favourite hobby?

4. What’s your Favourite food?

5. What’s your Favourite band/singer?

6. What’s your Favourite day of the week?

7. What’s your Favourite word?

8. What’s your Favourite happy place?

9.  What’s your birthday?

10. What’s your Favourite quote?

11. What’s your Favourite flavour of ice cream?

12. What’s your Favourite book?

13. What’s your Favourite drink?

14. What’s your dream job?

15. Oh idk What question should I put here?

MAXIMUM RIDE!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 12:54 am

http://maximumride.blogspot.com

I love that series! I’ve read it twice, sooo good. Just as good maybe even better than Twilight.

Raving…

The books are:

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment

Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever

Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports

Maximum Ride: The Final Warning

By the way the last one is pretty disappointing but the other three are just so amazing. A movie will be coming out in 2010 or 2011, yay!

Right so besides reading books I’m also writing my own. My beginning now has 10314 words but I’ll be writing more and I have another 3000 that probably won’t go in. I hate writing fight scenes. I manage to kill a lot of people though. Hmm… remind me to study fight scenes. I need to research. I’m getting Vin to read my book and he agrees the fight scene died. Must fix… ah! Anyway don’t expect to be allowed to read it anytime soon, though at 20000 I might cut some slack. Hard to tell.
I’m way into my characters now so even if I trash this book I’ll probably use them, even though there are 9 main characters and sometimes even I forget them. But I just kinda know them. So hard to transition though. EJFH for bad guy at the moment. Which is funny. xD
Oh and EJFHABWI. She rocks at insane.
And Hagan is so going in for it.
And Kel is hyperventilating over Malik.  lol
And Irisa and Kel are having the same dreams except Irisa is older.
EJFH is def not gonna be named yet.

Writing is fun!

So is reading!

So is switching narrators in your story!

Anyway, going in to moms work for a bit. Might get some writing done, most likely NOT. Thinking of posting Niko’s journal but I haven’t decided yet. Hmm, I might do some keep it private and make it public later. After all Niko is pretty cool. And like the opposite to most people I know. Uh-huh give you a hint. Die a different person. Hopefully.

I love my beanbag in the sunroom, it’s really comfy for reading and writing on, plus it isn’t noisy in there. You wouldn’t believe how noisy my house gets when your trying to think. I mean I’m the only kid and still there’s so much noise. I can’t imagine what other people’s houses are like. *shudders*

BTW You probably know Manly won that Rugby Final. Well guess how I found out. Mom and I were eating dinner (dad is in Taiwan) when we suddenly heard a LOT of cheering up and down the street, it lasted for ages. So naturally I said “I think Manly won.” Yep. I’m so clued-in.

I also need to remember not to get distracted just because on Sunday I watched a gizillion movies. The Eragon movie (which I own for some reason) SUCKS, just a hint for you people who haven’t seen it, DON’T. I hope that it doesn’t have much to do with the book, can you say ‘cliche’ and ‘unoriginal’. I bet if you look those up in the dictionary the definition would be Eragon. Ok rant over.
Must remember to blog. Hmm Niko’s journal or not Niko’s journal. Well blogging is salvation from Linda and Jo spamming so killing time, here.

UPDATE: (After going to moms work)

Ah, I love that series! I’ve read them twice in the same week, that has to say something for them seriously. I just love Max’s narration, her wit and she’s just really cool. Plus the story is great too! Wow a nice big combo deal.

I’m getting Vin to blog because seriously he hasn’t done it in ages. And may I add that last time he did it was he person sitting in this chair, typing right now that told him too. Yep, I did. xD I love hearing people’s thoughts and no one blogs very much anymore it seems. Oh so sad, the world will now be an awful place. Of course you can tell it’s the holidays when suddenly my blog posts expand to fill the space normally taken up by three or four done on school weeknights. I have the feeling however that I’m pretty strange because, now I have time on my hands to go on the computer in between doing fun stuff, I just NOW find that I’d rather be doing other stuff like reading or making chocolate chip cookies.
Oh and about those cookies… I made them yesterday from scratch and they are SO good. Actually, almost fatally good. I’ve eaten 11 since after dinner yesterday. Uh-huh, so good. Note they aren’t the GIANT ones I make sometimes, just your average if a bit thin but definitely sooooo good, chocolate chip cookie. Oh well, you know what they say, death by chocolate chip cookies.

Speaking of death and DYING…. oh but I won’t go into that, except to say that someone is gonna be majorly harassed soon. *smiles angelically* (do you think I can pull that off?)

Tomorrow I should be at moms work most of the day and if I’m lucky, maybe some internet. Maybe. Maybe I’ll be writing though.

Ah I can hear the sweet notes of the opening ABC News program. Which my dad was on, if you didn’t know, promoting the MEG. My brain scans were on that one. So cool! He was also on Channel 9 twice, once at 4:30, once at 6. He was also on Channel 10. It was really cool actually because the broadcastings were shown nationally! And he got some newspaper articles too. We video taped them and your truly here, used the computer to edit the and then make them into a DVD, with you know a menu and animation and music and all that. I love iMovie and iDVD, they rule. Mom made labels for the DVD’s and today we sent them off to the loving relations. I have to say, I HATE the picture of me and in the MEG mom used, I had to wear a cap and I love sooo stupid. Luckily I don’t have the picture so none of you can blackmail me into giving it to you.

Did I metion I got canvas ballet shoes in Skygarden mall downtown, at the huge Bloch store? Well I did and they’re SPLIT-SOLE! I’m so happy about that because they make your point look nice and for once these shoes aren’t baggy on me! I know, for those of you who didn’t know this I have a very narrow foot. A ballet shoes are too wide and kinda gape on me so I have to tighten the laces and boy does it go puck-marked. My satin shoes I had made for me so they’re AA.
Speaking of satin shoes my ballet exam is next month, I had better do well compared to last year or i’ll die an exceedingly painful death. Especially when I have to tell Miss Kidner, so embarrassing if I do badly! I hope i don’t but examiners are seriously bad-tempered ladies with attitude problems. At least the ones who’ve done my school for the last 3 years have been. They should be on that show Grumpy Old Ladies. So should my teacher Mrs Hediger if we get another bad examiner. Oh well there’s always International Summer School to look forward to. Instead of going to Mrs Hedigers I’m going there for the week before school.

Anyway, dinner soon so I have to stop my nice, long blog entry around now. Rambling is so much fun. Especially when your trying to get Vin to write a long entry too. Mine is way long. 1327 word, now more obviously. Just imagne what my 10000 word book would do on this blog. Woah. Sorry being dazzled for a second here. Right fixed the number counter thing now, this is definitely a record by a LONG way.

g2g I smell something delicious coming from the kitchen… and the sweet notes of ABC News. Oh joy.

ANOTHER UPDATE: (this time after dinner)

Ok so the news is all about money and recession and global economy and share markets and the Australian Dollar is now at 70 US cents which means buying stuff from Amazon is more expensive. Wow that was a long sentence. *Sigh* Now besides the doom and gloom this also mean that the new Redwall book Doomwyte, which is coming out in 9 days will be more expensive. That sucks, since it won’t be out here for a while. Oh well, maybe mom will get it for me.

Also when my creative juices are flowing I’m way faster at typing than Vin so maybe that’s why he doesn’t blog much, xD.

Mom and I are abut to go up to the video store to rent something because tomorrow I have to be at he work from 9:30 until 5, I’m gonna need serious entertainment. I think I should make a list with, around 100 things to do in it so I don’t go around the bend. I already talk to myself sometimes, lets not take those signs of madness too much further. I hope I can find 2 good movies because that would kill 4 hours or something, plus special features. BTW I can watch DVD’s on my laptop if you’re wondering.

Just an interesting comment, in the holidays I almost always wear my hair out. xD

Please comment because I’m very proud of my longest blog entry ever and probably forever too! Oh and if your wondering the word count is 1579.

LAST UPDATE: (after movie store)

Poor mom had an upset stomach (from the meat. See I basically never have upset stomachs because *gasps* I don’t eat any meat MEAT! Yes I know it’s amazing), and we had to turn around when we were half-way up the street. However that was just fine because guess what? Yep you’re gonna love this one, right after I was remembering a time we got half way up to the video store and remembered we hadn’t brought the video guess what I did? YEP! Points to you, I remembered that the movie was still sitting on the dining room table. We did finally get up to the video store however and I rented two movies for tomorrow. Hooray! Mom also had the idea that maybe she could drop me off at home in the break between two of her classes. (she has three) Of course that idea was oh so agreeable to me and Maya.

Apparently Vincent set himself up to oppose me as longest blog post writer and of course, didn’t quite manage. Hey, I honestly didn’t think  it up. *sweet smile once again* No really I didn’t. However his blog post is really long so if your in the mood to have your brain fried by his lack of punctuation then I suggest you check it out. xD I’m teasing Vin.

I think I’ll go have two chocolate chip cookies- yes that will take my count up to 13! Yum!

I think my record of teasing Vin and him believing me today alone is around 10. Whooticles! xD I can’t help it. As I keep telling him it’s a hereditary gene that mothers pass on to girl babies. Honestly boys don’t seem to know the basics DNA makeup. They also don’t seem to know IM- now that is what I call sad. Everyone knows basic IM but seriously people, you need to know more IM or your life shall die. Especially since I’ve already used it a few times in this post.

Just one other thing, guys please get a handle on the whole ‘I’m going to beat you up at school.’ uh No you are NOT. For one thing here I would most likely rightly assume that by beating up you mean something like ‘I’m going to kick you or slap you or zap you’ because well I doubt you guys can do much else. The other thing is your at school and at school there are such things as rules and one of those rules is about not hurting people and guess who enforces those rules- uh-huh, you said it teachers. So however much you may want to beat anyone up at school the simple fact is that’s a no go. Do it some other time if you have to do it all, and please NOT in front of me because that’s a MAJOR no go.

Well I think that wraps up my ginormous blog post for this evening.

Oh and BTW those xoxoxo’s were for Shaz because hopefully she’ll read and she’s by best friend. Thanks to comments.
The official word count is now 2101.

Shopping and PSB

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 5:35 am

Yesterday I went to PSB or for all you clueless people Premier State Ballet. They put on a production of Sleeping Beauty. You could tell they worked really hard on it and some of the dancers were really talented. It just reminded me how excited and nervous I am to be going en pointe next year but I think I’m ready. Hey, my teacher said I was ready this year but she has to put everyone on at once. Of course some girls really just can’t do ballet and only go one day a week but they are the two oldest in the class so they will go on with us if they want to.

Anyway PSB was great! Next year or the year after I will try out. YAY! The year after probably because I want to be secure en pointe.

My stupid loose tooth is so painful! I can’t wiggle it or it gets stuck. I hope it comes out soon because it’s hard to eat, brush my teeth and it hurts!

Since my summer wardrobe is sadly lacking and the summer weather is already here I went shopping today. When I say sadly lacking I mean it, I had only two pairs of shorts that fit and only one was comfortable. Plus i didn’t have any capris.

Luckily, Hornsby Mall supplied me with CLOTHES! And I found some really nice stuff too. Now i’ll be able to last the holidays, oh JOY! I won’t bore you with the details.

Not sure what I’m doing tomorrow except hopefully going to Banjo Books to get City of Secrets. If I do the rest of the day will be spent reading of course!

Complicated Implications of Generation and Hormonal Problems Suffusing some in my Class

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 8:06 am

I think the title says it all. A select few members of my class have been affected by changing hormones and views on the other gender.

Sadly some are getting just a bit too caught up and are becoming insufferable. But at least not everyone is having these. Ah solace.

Anyway, it gets pretty complicated.

Music and Stretching

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 7:19 am

Shaz and I were playing a game were you had to guess the song by the lyrics. It’s harder than you think! A lot of this stuff is really mondegreens so you don’t know what you really here.

Below is Love Song’s Lyrics.

Sara Bareilles Lyrics
Love Song Lyrics
And if you look up Pump It' lyrics you'll get a bad surprise.
Anyway.
We also did a lot of stretching for splits.
I could have sworn it hailed a second ago! Wow, I brought the guinea pigs around a minute before it started luckily!

Hot Weather

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Rora @ 8:30 am

Wow I tell you the weather was 31 degrees I think! In the morning it was great but then it got very hot!

I hope we change to summer uniform soon at school.

I had ballet today and the studio was so hot!

Below is a thing I made because I was bored.
